Winter of the World by Ken Follett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Wonderfull, historical, human. A wide sweep of generations and continuance of The Fall of Giants. This book is also an education to those of us born just after the war. It explains the complications and hardships of so many countries and helps us to finally understand some of what happened before we came along. It makes us realize how lucky we are and especially makes us grateful for what others did for us.
