The Dressmaker of Khair Khana: Five Sisters, One Remarkable Family, and the Woman Who Risked Everything to Keep Them Safe by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
An inspiring story about a woman who started a business and helped support her family and others in her area during the taliban occupation. Through very scary living conditions she was able to work hard and still move forward. I would have liked more "meat" to the story such as living conditions and more personal stories, but all in all it was enlightening to learn about life in Kabul Afghanistan.
