The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
An excellent story, very well written and easy to read and follow. How a young girl is kidnapped from her home in Africa on the 1750's at age 11 and taken on a slave ship to America. It made me feel like I was there with her; very accurate descriptions. I felt that the author's research was very thorough and many actual facts were introduced.
