Baking Cakes in Kigali: A Novel by Gaile Parkin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A lighter read but enjoyable. Angel bakes beautiful cakes and dispenses wisdom from her apartment in Kigali Rwanda. She and her husband, Pius, are raising their five grandchildren; three from her son and two from her daughter who have both died as a result of aides. You will really like Angel as she is the "auntie" who cares about you, and everyone that comes into contact with her.
