The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When a girl's mother dies, she is asked to attend a meeting that her mother had been part of since the 1940's. Here she learned things about her mother that had not been known to her; incredibly sad things.

A wonderful story that might make you look at your own mother a bit differently.
