This first Jack Caffery novel put Mo Hayder on my favourites list. An excellent who done it with authentic and realistic characters. The murders are set in south east London, my favourite murder location. Books set in England don't have the violent guns actions that stories set in the US contain, or at least to the same degree. Their crimes can be much more creepy. Jack is the UK's version of Harry Bosch.
