A Street Cat Named Bob: And How He Saved My Life by James Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was the best, most uplifting non-fiction book that I have read in a long time. It is not English prose, but just a very down to earth, in his own words story. James is a recovering heroin addict who is still on methadone and trying to get clean. He is a busker in Covent Garden in London, which basically is begging. On several occasions he has seen a ginger cat at the front door of one of the flats in his building. He finally decides to find out who the cat belongs to and since he can't find where he belonged, he takes him into his life.
James shares his daily life with the reader and draws you into the life in London. Amazing story and fantastic read.
