The Night Fire by Michael Connelly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Renee Ballard and Harry Bosch team up again to solve a cold case. The widow of a retired police officer handed over a file she found in her husband's desk, to Bosch and he felt there must be a good reason that he held onto that file. It was the unsolved murder of a young fellow in an alley that was used for drug deals. Harry can't quite decide if his old mentor wanted to work the file in his retirement or that he didn't want the case to be solved.
Renee and Harry make a fantastic team, each almost knowing what the other is doing and always watching each other's backs.
Excellent read and looking forward to the next installment from Ballard and Bosch.
