The Dream: A Memoir by Harry Bernstein
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A wonderful account of life in the twenties and during the depression. Mr. Bernstein's first hand account is a huge eye opener and a wonderfully warm story from a very warm gentleman.
The dream was to come to America from England where religious prejudice was still very high. Unfortunately, the streets were not paved with gold as everyone believed in those days and life was very hard once the depression years kicked in.
An excellent read.
